School lunch
The Geneva City School District participates in the Community Eligibility Program, which enables all children to eat for free regardless of household income. According to government guidelines, the following percentage of GCSD students would otherwise be eligible for free lunch:
Community groups running after-school programs often find that because children are served lunch so early in the school day, they’re hungry by the time they’re dismissed from class. Organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club regularly serve meals before providing other services to these students.
