DATA – PUBLIC SAFETY IN GENEVA

The Geneva Police Department reports that violent crime in Geneva increased by 6.3 percent in 2021, while property crime dropped by 2 percent. In its 2021 annual report, the department also noted:

Our Narcotic Unit and the Detective Bureau seized over $13,590.00 in U.S. currency during drug and criminal investigations. The Narcotics Unit assisted in numerous joint drug investigations within and outside of Ontario County. The Narcotics Unit and the Detective Bureau seized approximately 633 grams of heroin, 446 grams of methamphetamine and 587 grams of cocaine through investigations. The bureau also seized 7 illegal guns.
