FAFSA completions

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a form that seniors must complete and submit to the government in order to receive federal financial aid, is often a crucial step for students wanting to attend college.

The number of Geneva High School students applying for federal aid for college has dropped fairly steadily for the last eight years. But so has the size of the senior class. The percentage has remained pretty static from year to year, hovering from 58.6% in 2019 to 67.2% in 2016. In 2022, about two-thirds of the class – 65% – submitted FAFSA applications.

The graphic below shows total enrollment in the senior class and the number of FAFSA completions from 2015 to 2022.
