Students Outside All Summer 2026
SOS served 130 children in grades 1–6 this summer, giving Geneva families access to six weeks of outdoor learning, literacy, science, exploration, and friendship.
About 7 in 10 participating children came from families earning under $100,000 annually, and grant support made 84% of all participation weeks free to families.
The program also reflected the diversity of our community, with nearly one-third of children identifying as Hispanic/Latinx, Black/African American, multiracial, Asian, Lebanese, or another mixed racial or ethnic background. For many families, SOS provided something that would otherwise be difficult to afford: a high-quality, full-day summer experience that kept children learning, active, connected, and outdoors.
