Survey measures student risk
In March 2025, 634 Geneva school students completed a survey designed to gauge risk through activities such as drug and cigarette use, self-injury or suicide.
The main theme underlying the results is that many young people feel little attachment to their community. An alarming number cited a lack of opportunities for involvement.
Geneva 2030 partnered with Evalumetrics Research of Canandaigua on the project. It was sponsored by Finger Lakes Community Schools, in cooperation with the Partnership for Ontario County.
